I also have these shoes and have been running in them for the past few
months to strengthen my feet/calves for the PCT. I do plan on taking them
with me but i have also gotten a solid pair of trail runners just so i can
be as fickle as i want. I haven't had much problem with the kangaroo
leather being too hot or drying slowly, the thing that is a little annoying
is the tendency to stub your toes on larger rocks on the trail. I plan on
using the KSO treks for fording since i have better balance/ dexterity with
the kso's and the rubber on the kso's is higher quality than the stuff on my
trail runners. I'm bringing both since the Vibram five finger shoes weigh
substantially less than a regular pair of hiking/trail running shoes. Over
all i have really enjoyed wearing them, and look forward to see how they
hold up on the trail.
