[pct-l] Rattlesnakes

So folks last time I hiked, I was younger (and dumber?).
I didn't really pause much to think about rattlesnakes. I figured I would just avoid them.
And I am not really worried about them this time around... but recently I watched some Discovery Channel special about being bitten by animals, and I found myself a little less comfortable with the idea of the snakes.

So my question:

IF you are bitten on the trail, what do you do?
