In 2006 the only water I did not treat at Kennedy Meadows was from the campground--- Within 3 days I was so sick, I had to drop down to Lone Pine to seek medical attention.

In 2006 I treated every drop of water I drank at Kennedy Meadows, and
while I didn't get giardia, I did have intestinal issues. In 2009 I drank
the hose water without treating it, and had no issues at all. Obviously
every persons system reacts differently to these things.
