Chris,

Just to let you know that you would not be the only presently-on-trail thru hiker who either expects to be in the San Jacinto area on 4/30 or will be leaving the trail wherever they are to attend the skills training Snow Course.

The decision will be soon as to whether this SoCal Snow Course will be a "go" or not. At this point, it looks likely.

  Hi Ned,

  I was wondering if this Idyllwild class is a definite go?  I'll be on the trail then, but I think I will adjust my schedule to make sure I can attend this class if it is happening, either by getting to a major road crossing and trying to talk another class participant into picking me up before the course, or by hiking to it.  Is there any more information about exactly where and when it will be?
