It's almost a "GO!"

It is becoming more of a reality than a possibility, now that there are quite a few folks committing to attending a SoCal version of our free, 3-day snow skills training weekends, this time held above Idyllwild, just where most hikers have the greatest difficulty dealing with snow for the first time!

However, to make sure that the training weekend is going to happen, we need more hikers to sign on. If you are interested enough to take advantage of this Course offered in the hills of "not always sunny" Southern California, please let us know soon! If it is given, it will be April 30, May 1 & 2 and have a similar Course Description as those we offer in the Tahoe area (please see the Snow Course Description at http://postholer.com/SnowTravel for the way the course goes, what is taught, etc.).

I would like to add that quite a few of those who have already registered are coming off the trail to attend--they are already northbound on the PCT and want to make sure to get the training before hitting the Sierra without it. Now, that's fantastic and really encourages us to continue to provide these Courses to those who take safety and realistic preparation seriously.
