[pct-l] Near Diamond Peak yesterday

This last weekend I hiked 8 miles in from Odell Lake.  The first mile had snow remnants, but by the time mile 3 came we were walking on 2-4 feet of snow.  Very few mosquitoes, but averaged only 1.7 mph.  Most lakes were 95% covered.  Will be hiking from Crater Lake to Odell Lake some time this summer.  Was thinking July, now thinking August!!

I welcome any advice.....
