[pct-l] First use

Good morning, Wes and Rita,

The practical northern end of the PCT is at B.C’s E. C. Manning Provincial
Park.  There is lots of information here:

The Manning Park center is right on B.C. Provincial Hwy-3 about 8 trail
miles from the “official” end of the trail at Monument #78 on the
Canada/U.S. border.  I say “official” end because the PCT is a U.S.
legislated entity and as such it can’t officially exist in Canada.  There’s
little at the border where the trail crosses except the border monument and
the PCT northern terminus monument.  No roads. No border control people –
nothing except an east/west border strip where all the timber has been
removed.
