[pct-l] Yosemite Conditions

Hi All,
I've been planning a week of hiking in the high sierras (Tuolumne and south for a few days) to coincide with a conference that ends this afternoon, but from the snow reports it looks like I might have to change my plans. I hear that Lyell Canyon is currently a big slush-fest and I'm really not keen on fording rivers that are more snow than water. Does anyone have some good suggestions for 4-6 day loop hikes on PCT at elevations that won't involve too much snow and that are within easy (<8 hours) driving distance of San Francisco? I've considered Echo Lake to Donner Pass (and hitching back) but I hear it's 1-4ft deep there too, which would be good in winter but now that it's melting I figure I'll spend more time post-holing than actual hiking.

Cheers,
	Craig/SunWalker/Heaps
