I went for long hot run dry in the backcountry today, and afterwards I was horribly dirty and sweaty and thirsty, having run out of water. I got home and was really, truly amazed when I turned the tap and water came out. Then I turned the other one, and hot water came out. What a strange and wonderful thing! Talk about a total flashback to the trail...
