[pct-l] Hiker Trash

For some reason I am a loss to explain, a few of the hikers I encountered
last year on my thru-hike seemed to display an attitude of entitlement.
Most (and I'm glad for them) truly appreciated the assistance, generosity
and commitment of the Trail Angels and not only left a contribution but
cleaned up after themselves. I just can't fathom why those "special" few
slobs just don't see themselves as others do - inconsiderate at best.
Stories abound about hikers who have crammed motel rooms, abused AYCE
buffets (by bringing food to others who didn't pay) and otherwise acted
badly. While these individuals are in the minority these are the stories
that get told time and again. We all need to be responsible, appreciative
and realize that our individual actions reflect on the entire hiking
community.

Okay, now off my soap box.

Many, many thanks to the many Trail Angels out there.
