Sisters is EXPENSIVE - much more than Bend

The trail angel is Lloyd Gust - home 541-330-6755; cell 541-604-4494 - out
of Bend, but his range in Bend  north and south

It you're planning to go to Sisters next weekend, there will be nothing left
except maybe the hiker/biker campground at the city park (no showers that
last time I was there).  It's the Quilt Show in Sisters - 2nd weekend in
July, and BTDT - the town is exploding with quilters and wannabees.

There's a KOA between Sisters and Bend, but pretty pricey for a tent.

Would not recommend the motel across the road from the Best Western.
Although they gave us a 10% discount, there were no facilities.  We did
laundry in the bathtub, and then drying was a real hassle, complete with
thunderstorms that took out electricity the next morning.

Have not been to Big Lake, but plan to stop there next month.
