With apologies to Willie

On the trail again
I just can't wait to get on the trail again
The life I love is hiking with my friends
I just can't wait to get on the trail again

Fortunately, we can make our own!  The art of filking is centuries old.  The nearly-untold hours we collectively spend hiking can potentially yield a veritable cornucopia of great trail songs.

For example: (To the tune of, "Doe, a Deer")
When you know where the trail goes,
It doesn't matter if you're fast or slow!
Campo, the place where the trail starts
Hauser, a gague for SoCal water
Morena, it's where they hold the Kickoff
Laguna, it's green with lots of trees
Felipe, those hills are hot and dry
Jacinto, you'd better brace your knees
Whitewater, here fishy, fishy fishy!
Then you'll head on up to Big Bear Resort
A town, a big trail town
You can get most anything you need
Mojave, a dam that holds no water
Baden Powell, yes we will be prepared
(to be continued......)
