[pct-l] Start Dates

I'm going to select a start date after I see what the snowpack looks like, 
assuming I survive Ned's 3-day snow and ice trial, er, training. History has 
shown that I screw up when I over-think and over-plan things. (Hope I 
haven't offended a larger-than-life thinker and/or planner...if I have, I'm 
sure he/she will give me the business.)
