I second that area...ugh it was horrid! I got so much protein on that section of the trail....blah!
So where's the mojitos???

The nastiest batch I ran into were between Tuolumne Meadows and just before Sonora Pass.  Brutal.  If I remember correctly, a swarm of them attempted to fly off with my fanny pack.  They were wearing leather jackets.
