[pct-l] Hiking in the rain

I like to use a tarp in the rain because it's easy to erect a temporary
shelter in spots where you wouldn't normally pitch a tent. A tarp can be set
up in lots of different configurations over different types of terrain and
it's an easy way to put a roof over your head during rest breaks.

 

Another option is an umbrella. It won't provide as much protection as a
tarp, but at least you can huddle underneath it and enjoy a meal instead of
getting pelted by rain the whole time (like you would if all you had was a
rain jacket).
