That's my experience: its not possible. I've not found a way to keep water from running down your let and into your boots (summertime wearing shorts).

Pretty sure dry feet are an impossibility in sustained rain. If it's not
water getting in, it's the pint of sweat each foot produces in a day.
Yikes, can you actually imagine a one-pint beer mug full of foot sweat?
