Yeah, we do. We usually leave the yurt stocked with wood and supplies in case somebody happens to stumble in and need it, but the snow can get pretty deep at VVR, so there are times when you wouldn't want to be there during the winter. However, when we get warm spells, the owner occasionally goes in to check up on things, do some work, or just escape for a day or two.
We do run snowmobile and/or quad trips into VVR in the early spring before opening. Usually we can get 4 weekend trips in before we open officially. The snow is still there (but less than winter), and the fishing's great.
