I'm planning to use the 450 for about 4-5 days at a time with more compressible food. Need to spend some time this spring experimenting with it though.

I used the BV500 in Yosemite last year... 6 days worth of "fancier" (ie: more ingredients) food with PLENTY of room for toiletries, trash, etc.

I'm looking at the Bear Vault. Comes in two sizes. http://www.bearvault.com/

It's on the Yosemite NP approved list. http://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/containers.htm

Camp near and utilize food storage lockers ("bear boxes") the first few nights in Seki...
    See <http://climber.org/data/BearBoxes/map.html>...

    Happy trails!!!
