With your application, please include one clear photocopy of some kind of
official identification that has a recent picture on it (Driver's licence,
Passport, Alien Registration card, State ID card). Please write your home
phone number on the photocopy. If you are photocopying a small document,
please enlarge it on the photocopier, but make sure the copy is clear.
The above is directly from the Canadian Entry form on the PCTA
website; a Passport copy doesn't appear to be required. It wasn't last year; if it
is this year, the PCTA has made a gross error in not putting up the latest
form, and there will be dozens of incomplete forms piling up in Canada. I
sent mine with a DL copy, and have not heard back from them yet. We'll see
what happens.

Toothpaste? Just use a travel size: WalMart or Target travel/sample
sections, other places at times. Tom's also has a travel size, but they're hard
to find; go to your local health food store and order a case, usually at a
10% discount.

Do you have to mail a Color photocopy of your passport to get your Canadian
entry permit, or will a black and white photocopy of your passport work?
I
know a license won't do.

I was also curious as to what everyone does for toothpaste on the trail?
Travel size toothpaste? Special soaps? No toothpaste necessary?
