Trail magic; lighten your pack. No more need for a head lamp from here on. Just hold out your index finger and say "Home". Repeat until enough fingers are glowing to provide the level of light required.

Caveat: for night hiking, it's better to light up your toes. Be sure to bring sandals for this.
