Switchback replies: The innocent and kindly Trail Pirate is being scammed by the wily Terminator Female Leadership Type.  I can just hear the conversation at Hiker Heaven; 

L-Rod: "Shadow, you and Coldwater go out and play.  Now you be good boys.  I am going to go take a shower, so you be gracious hosts."

Shadow: "Hey Coldwater I hear some backpackers at the front gate.  It's show time."

Coldwater: "I know, I will do my lick the plates trick.  That always holds their attention."

Shadow:  "That is a great idea.  I will sneak up behind them and leave some dental impressions in their posteriors."  

Coldwater: "Hey, who is that big guy?  Isn't that Switchback the Trail Pirate?  He's the guy that causes so much mischief and gnashing of teeth in the hiking community."

Shadow: "Good.  I am going to especially take a big bite out of him.  I know sweet L-Rod will be pleased."
