Good evening, Eugene,

I recommend running shoes, and at the beginning of a hike I weigh about 165
lbs.  My base weight is sub-ten pounds.  Fully loaded north out of Tehachapi
Pass my food would add around 15 lbs. and water around 12 lbs. for a total
of approximately 200 lbs.
