I ran into a guy a couple of years ago who was hiking the whole trail stoveless. Vegan too. He was eating "regular" meals (just didn't cook them - instant oatmeal, taters etc) out of ziplock bags. So no pan either.

Subject: [pct-l] Cookless meals - kitchen set
Greetings,
For those who have experience with cookless meals -
What did you include in your kitchen? It seems to me that there would be no need for cup, spoon, or pot. Just possibly a knife. ? ?
Thanks,
Jim Keener ( J J )
