[pct-l] help with PCT -John Muir trail access

Hello I'm new to the forum and  I need some sage advice. I  am going to be in San Diego on  a conference at the end of March and I  wanted to get on the John Muir trail for a couple of days and a an evening. I  know I  will have to drive a fair distance (no problem), but I need to know what will be the best bang for my time spent. Where do I go to get the best two days and one e vening of  hiking on the trail. Your collective help is greatly appreciated.
