Good morning, Chuck,

The most common resupply points after Yosemite are Echo Summit to S. Lake
Tahoe or Echo Lake.  I think that’s a good area from which to send the bear
‘can back home.  It could be carried on to Donner Pass, but I wouldn’t take
it as far as Sierra City.
