"How's Your Trail?" a couple of years ago I printed the fire permit from
the Inyo forest service site, filled it out and took it to the Kick Off and
asked the ranger there if it was legal and He said Yes that it was a good
Permit. I didn't send it anywhere for a hand written signature. It does say
that it is for National Forest Land and the BLM. Remember "Be Prepared"
Ground Pounder Bill "Semper Fi"

scroll down to the bottom to download a copy (NOT SIGNED) and fax it to one
of the mentioned #'s on this link page. U will most likely get it back
within 24 hours. this is how I have always gotten mine and it's fast and I
KNOW that it's legit b/c an actual person signed it.

They just haven't gotten around to up-dating them yet. They do this every
year. Just be patient and check back every 30 days.

I'm having trouble getting an online campfire permit for California. The
only one I can find expires in '09. Does anyone know if there is a current
permit available yet or have they stopped allowing online permits?
