[pct-l] Waterproof Pack

I haven't tried compactor bags, but I have been using trash bags for years and with very satisfactory results, and I often carry camera gear. As far as I know, but I don't know much, there is no such thing as a water proof pack. Too many seams and stitching. A lot of pack manufacturers claim water proof materials etc, but don't be fooled, it's a pipe dream. Trash bags have no seams, and you just roll the top over, done. As side note, I keep a few things in zip locks that can be tossed on top of the trash bag contents and thus no worries but handy. If I expect rain, or it starts raining, or I am crossing a sketchy creek where I might take a dip, I re-pack for water contact and that 's that...
That help?
