[pct-l] gzip *command line* to unzip file

Alright - anyone now the correct way to *unzip* the gzip file?? ie: don't point

me to the Gzip.org site.. been there - just want someone who has done it to 

give me the correct info/comand line for doing it.. guess I am being lazy but short
