[pct-l] Trail Names

IMHO, anyone can ...  though often people make their own up nowadays.
'most' of them are related to some kind of funny story ... say you're in camp 
and dump your food bag, then spend the next hour picking up tiny pieces of trail 
mix off the dirt...  you would be dubbed 'Ground Granola'  : )

How does one get a trail name?  Can anyone name them, or does it have to be
someone who has hiked the PCT before?
