Still I'll go hiking alone.  Why?  Because if I wait until I have others to 
go hiking with, I'll almost never go hiking.

John, as you know, I can relate totally to your statement and situation. As a lone woman hiker I get LOTS of doubtful, "your crazy" looks and comments. But, if I didn't go alone, I'd virtually never be on the trail.
