I'm seeing if there is enough interest to put together another trip out to the
Snoqualmie Pass area this coming weekend. It would be for only one day. The
goal would be to continue brushing north from where the work left off last
weekend. The PCTA's brush cutter would be employed as well as the typical hand
tools.
Tenative plan would be to be ready to start the trail head briefing at 9:00am
and knock off for the hike out no later than 3:00. The hike into the work site
is about 20 minutes. Road access is good - passable to a typical passenger car,
although a bit on the rough side and slow going in places. Drive time from the
greater Seattle area is about 1:15 to 1:30.
If you're interested, please reply off list no later than Friday afternoon and
include which day you'd be willing to come out. At this point, it's still
unclear if it would be Saturday OR Sunday (or even if it'll happen - it depends
on generating sufficient interest, there is a minimum practical crew size to
employ the brush cutter).
As an FYI, the PCTA has set things up such that these work parties are fully
sanctioned, with proper paper work, full access to the PCTA tool cache, etc.
All tools & hard hats would be provided. No experience is necessary.
