[pct-l] Walk the Amazon

The article I saw talked about the number of boots, crocs and some other shoe-types he went through. They also mentioned his pack, tent and sleeping bag were from MacPac a New Zealand company that I highly recommend. I've carried the same bag as he did through two thru-hikes and general traveling and think it's great. He managed to go through 4 packs on his trip which shows just how tough the vegetation was. I think it was Rolling Thunder who talked about his own MacPac saying while others with more dainty packs took them off carefully and sat on the snow to eat lunch, he could use his as a chair and not end up with a cold bum.
Anyway the reason I came here to talk about this fella's trip was that not only did he go through 4 packs, but his replacements were airdropped to him along the way. Which probably saved a lot of time hitching into town and back :-) I wonder if someone could do such a service a between Tuolumne and Kennedy Meadows.
