I just finished Sec. E from the Cottonwood Creek Bridge to Tehachapi.

1. April 26------Cottonwood Creek Bridge-- the stream is now flowing shallowly. I didn't check the faucet or pipe.
2. April 27-----Tylerhorse Canyon--water flowing very well as per 4/15 report by Free Range.
3. April 27-----Gamble Spring Canyon still dry even after the new storms
4. April 27----Tiger Tank--still green slime encrusted, almost impossible to filter without doing some serious pre-filtering through a bandanna. Shower inoperable.
5. April 28----Oak Creek----water was very shallowly flowing pretty well by the bridge. I filtered water from here, but the preponderance of brown green slime makes the area look radioactive. I did drink some of the water I filtered and am not dead yet.

I am moving onto Section F tomorrow and will try to do an update either from my cell or at Lake Isabella. The view from my hotel window shows snow from this last storm maybe about 500-1000 feet above Tehachapi. It should melt fast with the coming forecasted week of semi-sunny weather and higher temps.
