I recommend paying for delivery confirmation if sending priority mail.
 If a package disappears into the ether, at least you'll have some
indication of where that might have happened.  My experience has been
(mailing from San Diego), that priority mail gets to where it's going,
if it's ever going to get there, no later than 3-4 days from mailing.
If the tracking info shows a package stuck at some intermediate
location for more than a couple of days, I'd start asking questions.
Sometimes, they may 'forget' to update status.  And for some reason,
both times I've mailed to the Saufley's the tracking info never got
updated after leaving Santa Clarita.
