[pct-l] Do you need an ice axe before Idyllwild?

You won't need an ice axe to walk through the Lagunas. Where the ice  
axe might be first useful is the Apache Peak section, which is after  
Highway 74 and before Devil's Slide trail. You might have to send it  
to Warner Springs. I heard the Paradise store might be closed, but  
even if that is untrue, it is normally not open every day.
