[pct-l] Do you need an ice axe before Idyllwild?

Please excuse the last minute hysteria.  So our ice axes are all packed up
and waiting to be mailed to Idyllwild tomorrow.  Should we just bring them
to KO because of all this unseasonable snow?  I don't know what the first
150 miles look like so I don't know if it is the kind of terrain that
warrants an ice axe.  I hope to meet many of you at KO.
