The previous owner of the Anza RV park used to allow hikers to stay for $5 a
night. He sold it last year and I have no information as to the new owner's
support of hikers. If you go to Yogi's guidebook, the number is listed.
But, the area code may be wrong. It should be 951.

Subject: [pct-l] Layover spots

Does anyone know of any good, low-cost places near the PCT, prior to the San
Jacinto Mts, to layover from a couple of days to a week or more, and why?

This would be for a thru-hiker possibly wanting to wait for some of the
SoCal snow to melt. What about Borrego Springs or Palm Springs...any good
campgrounds there? Any local knowledge appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim
