[pct-l] Walker Pass to Kennedy Meadows

We were thinking of doing a long weekend hike from Walker Pass to Kennedy Meadows and having our daughter pick us up there in her Jeep, returning us to our car at Walker Pass.

I'm not worried about snow on the trail, we can be prepared but does anyone know when the road to Kennedy Meadows will likely to be open? I know it's up to the forest service to decide but I figure someone here would be able to venture a good guess.
