[pct-l] SWIMMING SUIT ????? AND FORUM ?? & Peek

On the trail a suit is definitely just extra weight. Most of the time the
water is so cold that you are just in for a few minutes or seconds. Chances
are no one is going to pass by, and they will be more interested in making
miles than gazing at your backside. Wear anything from everything you have
on to nothing, depending on air temperature and what you want to rinse out.
If it is hot and you are wearing synthetics you will be dry in an hour and
cool and comfortable before then. The main thing is to be cautious and aware
of hypothermia risk.

I would unsubscribe from pct-l for the trip. You will get more current info
from other hikers and the trail angels when you pick up your resupply, than
anything on the pct-l. Check with the trail angels, and in Southern
California, get a current copy of the water report when you have access to a
computer at resupply points.
