I am a professed Pacific Crest Trail hoarder. Can't help it. I have gathered
up any and all PCT information when I realized I could ride the PCT over 5
years ago. Since I am responsible for another life while on the trail, I
wanted to cover all bases in overkill. Last year I used Eric's Atlas as well
as Halfmile's maps and Postholer's & morethanamile's. I felt I needed all of
these including researching the Wilderness Press books. I carried segments
of everything inside my shirt all the way until somewhere around Cook and
Green Pass. There I lost that segment research and panicked but I soon
realized that I had the basis from all my diligent research, the generosity
of others and the many past miles to be just fine and both Issy and I were.
My point is when someone starts on this journey and hasn't ever been on the
PCT "ALL" information is greatly appreciated. I can't tell you how many
times I emailed Halfmile asking for his help and he responded immediately
with assistance with such mundane things as GPS questions and even with
moving my horse trailer. Postholer opened up a Stockman's page at the
request of Mendorider and maintains that at no cost...Eric has given us
(horse people) a perfect size guide with good water references.

We have GOLD in these people...no one is going to get rich on PCT books,
maps or any of it. But they do it to help us.
