Lost Llama

Update: Nickolas was lost in Mt. Jefferson Wilderness Oregon, at Table Lake on Aug 9th. After 18 days Nickolas was found at Green Ridge Look Out in Camp Sherman.

He had been spotted at a camp ground along the Metolius River on Monday and then he moved on up to Green Ridge Look Out. He hung around there 2 days. Jess and I were out in Mt. Jefferson Wilderness looking for him. When we came out and got the news, we drove up to Green Ridge early Thursday morning. We pulled into the parking area, we were not even out of the truck when I heard a squealing sound and looked, here Nickolas came running through the forest to the trailer and to see his two llama buddies in the trailer. We got out of the truck, took hold of his catch tab and he was heading home with us, safe and sound.

He had lost 40 lbs, but is in very good shape considering his adventure. His ears are very crusty with ear wax, dirt and bug bites. I am treating them daily and he should be good as new very soon.
