You get to Tahoe City from Barker pass along the Tahoe Rim Trail, very well
marked.

Good morning, George,
Tuolumne Meadows is at PCT Mile-941.6, and Hwy-108 at Sonora Pass is
Mile-1018.3 so the hiking distance is 68.7 trail-miles. Forest Road-3 at
Barker Pass is at Mile-1126.8 for an additional 108.5 trail-miles. You
could get Tahoe City from Barker Pass.
