4. Don't over plan, stay flexible

5. Recognize that 3 weeks in, nothing you're carrying or wearing will matter

6. Take care of you feet

7. Don't listen to anyone but your own head

9. Say, "I WILL DO THIS!" loudly and repeat

10. Hike your own hike
