[pct-l] How early is too early for Washington north bound?

Ralph,

That's good, sound advice. I started Aug. first and crossed Sept. 2, had 
lots of mud, mosquitoes, biting flies, and, still, some snow (I never was 
without snow until the last week of August). How late can you hike?
