No professional advice.
But I at what I weighed when I finished the PCT seven years ago. (I know I mentioned it before..I must confess I
am proud of the work I've done to get back there. :D).
Lean meats, veggies, whole grains, dairy. Some light weights and cardio. Even a little yoga for flexibility.
And playing outdoors whenever I get a chance.
Of course, the big part of hiking before, during and AFTER is mental IMO. :)

ps. Again, I hesitate to use the word "training"..I prefer to think of fitness. both mental and physical.
