The following is from the NWS in Reno, NV.

...STRONG STORM SYSTEM MAY IMPACT PARTS OF THE AREA TUESDAY-
WEDNESDAY OF NEXT WEEK...

A SIGNIFICANT STORM SYSTEM IS ANTICIPATED TO IMPACT MUCH OF THE
WESTERN U.S. TUESDAY-WEDNESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. WHILE THERE IS HIGH
CONFIDENCE IN THIS OCCURRING...THERE IS STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY IN
THE EXACT TIMING AND TRACK OF THE SYSTEM.

BASED ON THE LATEST INFORMATION...THIS STORM MAY BRING STRONG
WINDS ABOVE 75 MPH ON TUESDAY TO THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE
SIERRA AND THE WHITE MOUNTAINS...INCLUDING MT WHITNEY. A
DOWNSLOPE WIND EVENT MAY OCCUR INTO THE OWENS VALLEY...AFFECTING
LOCATIONS SUCH AS ASPENDELL...BISHOP...AND LONE PINE. STRONG
RIDGE WINDS WILL LIKELY AFFECT THE SPRING MOUNTAINS TUESDAY INTO
WEDNESDAY. TRAVELERS IN HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES WITH PLANS TO TRAVEL
TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY ALONG HIGHWAYS 395 AND 95 WILL WANT TO
MONITOR WEATHER CONDITIONS.

IN ADDITION PERIODS OF RAIN AND HIGH ELEVATION SNOWS ARE LIKELY
FOR MUCH INYO COUNTY TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY. SNOW LEVELS WILL
LIKELY BE VERY HIGH...ABOVE 10000 FEET...THEREFORE TRAVEL IMPACTS
FROM ACCUMULATING SNOWS ARE EXPECTED TO BE MINIMAL. SCATTERED RAIN
SHOWERS ARE FORECAST DURING THIS PERIOD ROUGHLY ALONG AND NORTH OF
A DEATH VALLEY TO DESERT ROCK TO MESQUITE LINE...WITH LITTLE OR NO
PRECIPITATION SOUTH OF THAT LINE INCLUDING LAS VEGAS.
