Anyone who is planning on a hike in the Canyon or doing an AZ thru hike should be aware a brand new permit system is coming in Feb.Anyone who has ever been to the BCRO on the first of the month where locals line up all the way out the door to get 3/4 permits will understand why this system is flawed somewhat, It looks like they hope to go to a full mail or fax in permit system so its more fair.... I would check out the GC news and read up on this before just showing up in Feb.
