It is funny you should mention 
pies Diane! This year Speck and Maggie carried 3 berry pies out of Stehekin to the Canadian border. They ate one a day. Kinda a "Pie Resupply" I guess!
Amazingly Speck retrieved a perfectly preserved pie from his pack at monument 78... I ate chowmein noodles! Then there is the Gargantuan Box of glazed Doughnuts Buck-30 pulled out of his pack after Ashland.  We were dumfounded!
Anyhow, I really don't know where I am going with this thread now! I think I am just really hungry this morning!
