[pct-l] AsABat is given Award of Merit by PCTA

A brief news item from the Trail Fest volunteer recognition awards dinner:
our own Bill Jeffrey, aka AsABat, was given the Award of Merit for the water
report he so faithfully maintains to help us all. The Award of Merit
recognizes individuals for their work on a particular project that benefits
the organization or the trails community.  Also recognized were other
hard-working volunteers that make the trail possible to hike that were
acknowledged and thanked.  The PCT wouldn't be the world class trail it is
without them.

 

He's not the sort to toot his own horn,  so I thought I would those of you
who couldn't be there know, and wish AsABat a heartfelt congratulations and
sincere thank you for his contributions.  His efforts have made a difference
for many!
