The water source at Cottonwood Bridge (mile 534.8) is a faucet installed
by the City of Los Angeles DWP just for us hikers. Water is only
available here when the aqueduct is flowing water. Every winter the
water is turned off and they do maintenance on the system. They plan on
turning the aqueduct on April 12, but it will take a day or so for water
to reach the trail, so water should be available at Cottonwood Bridge by
the morning of April 14 - just in time for most nobos.

Thanks to Geezer for making contact with LADWP about this.
